About the Instructor: Howdy Russell
Technical resource and resource conduit for the Paul Davis Restoration Network of over 200 offices across the United States. He is responsible for operations, training and sales of The Mitigation Services Division for Paul Davis Restoration. Howdy is IICRC certified in Water Damage, Mold Remediation, Fire & Smoke Damage, and Carpet Cleaning. Paul Davis Restoration is a member of the Association of Specialists in Cleaning and Restoration (ASCR). Howdy has been trained in Mold: Assessment, Remediation, and Prevention by the Mid-Atlantic Environmental Hygiene Resource Center. He is a frequent speaker to groups of insurance professionals delivering topics from "Introduction to Mitigation" to "How to Handle the Grossly Unsanitary Claim", to "Mold: A Growing Problem" and "Drastically Overcooked Protein: So the Turkey Cooked Through the Holidays?"

The purpose of this class is to familiarize agents with the eligibility, rules and coverage of the National Flood Insurance Program. Flood Insurance is a required part of continuing education in many states. This class is also required by "write your own companies" in order for agents to continue writing flood insurance with those carriers. The discussion will include a review of the need for flood insurance, the misconceptions about flood insurance and the perils and property covered by the dwelling and general property flood policies. Case studies will be introduced including floods such as Wisconsin's 2010 Nicolet High School and 2011 Riverside University High School events.
